Την πρόκριση τους στο ταμπλό των 16 ομάδων επέτυχαν οι Βλαχάκη-Σπανού στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα Κάτω των 20 ετών στην Κατάνια, παρά την ήττα τους στο τελευταίο παιχνίδι του ομίλου από τις Ιταλίδες Mara Carla-Benazzi με 2-0 σετ (16-21, 15-21). Στο πρώτο παιχνίδι της φ'ασης των 16 η ελληνική ομάδα γνώρισε την ήττα από τις Γερμανίδες Aulenbrock-Tillmann, Νο 4 του ταμπλό επίσης με 2-0 σετ (09-21, 07-21) ενώ αύριο θα αντιμετωπίσει την 2η ιταλική ομάδα των Lombardi-Sotera
